EcoLight

EcoLight is a specially formulated decorative wall finish suitable for interior and exterior cement plaster walls, ceilings, asbestos, hard and soft boards and other cementitious based surfaces. It is durable, easy to apply and when dry, presents a pleasing matt finish that is fungus resistant with good opacity.

Surface

Wall surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking materials. Remove fungus and all loose and powdery residues with a wire brush under running water or a high pressure water jet. Areas affected by fungus and algae growth should be treated with Sissons Anti-Mould Solution. Seal with one (1) coat of EcoPrime where high alkalinity is present. Do not paint on walls where moisture is high or during wet weather.

Preparation should be properly carried out for all surfaces before application to ensure that they are dry and clean of all loose material, grease, wax or other contaminants.

Wooden Substrate: Clean the substrate, then smooth down by sanding and dust off before application of paint.
Masonry Substrate: Make good surface defects and ensure that the substrate is completely dry and clean before application.
Ferrous Substrate: Remove mill scale and corrosion by manual or mechanical cleaning.

New and bare work must be primed with the appropriate primer.
